John Bhatt

John Bhatt has been instrumental in advancing robot-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy and training surgeons in this minimally invasive approach to prostate cancer treatment. His research established the learning curve for RARP and identified technical factors affecting oncological and functional outcomes. He conducted outcome studies demonstrating comparable cancer control with improved functional recovery compared to open surgery in experienced hands. His surgical teaching programs have trained hundreds of urologic surgeons in robotic prostatectomy techniques.
