Joakim Lundeberg

Dr. Joakim Lundeberg co-invented the spatial transcriptomics technology that became the basis for the 10x Genomics Visium platform. His foundational work established barcoded array-based spatial gene expression profiling, enabling the simultaneous capture of transcriptomic information while preserving spatial tissue context. This technology is now broadly applied to map gene expression within tumor and immune cell communities in the cancer microenvironment.
