Joachim Yahalom has been the leading authority on radiotherapy in lymphoma, particularly the evolution from extended-field (mantle field) to involved-field (IFRT) and involved-site (ISRT) radiotherapy for Hodgkin lymphoma — dramatically reducing radiation exposure and late effects including cardiac toxicity and secondary malignancies. His decades of work on optimizing radiation technique and volume for lymphoma while maintaining efficacy has been highly impactful.
