Jesper Velgaard Olsen at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center has made contributions to phosphoproteomics — the systematic measurement of protein phosphorylation by mass spectrometry. His development of titanium dioxide-based phosphopeptide enrichment and SILAC-based quantitative phosphoproteomics has enabled comprehensive mapping of kinase signaling networks in cancer cells, revealing dynamic phosphorylation patterns in response to oncogenic mutations and cancer therapy.
