Jennifer Bhatt

Jennifer Bhatt investigates the molecular mechanisms of cancer-associated fibroblast activation and stromal reprogramming in solid tumors at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. Her research has focused on TGF-beta signaling pathways that drive fibroblast-to-CAF transition and the therapeutic targeting of this process. She identified novel stromal biomarkers that predict response to combination chemoimmunotherapy in pancreatic cancer. Her translational work aims to develop stromal-targeted strategies that sensitize desmoplastic tumors to immunotherapy.
