Jeeyun Lee

Jeeyun Lee has pioneered liquid biopsy applications for cancer detection, molecular profiling, and treatment monitoring in Korea, developing ctDNA-based approaches for gastric cancer, lung cancer, and other solid tumors. Her research established circulating tumor DNA profiling as a clinically informative tool for identifying actionable molecular alterations in Korean gastric cancer patients where tissue biopsies may be insufficient for comprehensive molecular characterization. She has investigated ctDNA dynamics as a biomarker for monitoring treatment response and predicting disease progression during chemotherapy and immunotherapy in advanced solid tumors. Her translational work integrating circulating tumor DNA with tissue-based molecular profiling has contributed to precision oncology implementation in Korean cancer care and the broader Asia-Pacific region.
