Jean-Yves Blay is among Europe's most prominent sarcoma oncologists who has chaired the ESMO Soft Tissue and Bone Sarcoma guidelines for over a decade and established the CONTICANET European sarcoma network. His research spans molecular classification of sarcomas, CDK4/MDM2 amplification in dedifferentiated liposarcoma, and clinical trials of novel agents. He leads the Global Rare Tumor Alliance and the Lyon-based LYRIC clinical trial unit.
