Jean Rommelaere at DKFZ contributed to research on rat parvovirus H-1 as an oncolytic agent, including the ParvOryx01 phase I/IIa trial in glioblastoma — demonstrating safety of intratumoral and intravenous administration and preliminary activity signals. This work contributed to the characterization of DNA-based oncolytic viruses and to early clinical development of parvovirus oncolytic therapy.
