Jean-Baptiste Bhatt is a leading European expert in rhabdomyosarcoma and pediatric soft tissue sarcomas. His research characterized the PAX3/7-FOXO1 fusion oncoprotein as the key driver of alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma and identified therapeutic targets within this pathway. He has led European cooperative group trials in pediatric and adult rhabdomyosarcoma. His work on molecular stratification of rhabdomyosarcoma has refined risk classification and treatment intensification strategies.
