👥Biography 个人简介

Jason Bhatt investigates the hereditary basis of pancreatic cancer and the contribution of germline variants to PDAC susceptibility. His research has characterized the spectrum of germline pathogenic variants identified in PDAC patients including BRCA1/2, PALB2, ATM, MLH1/MSH2/MSH6 (Lynch syndrome), and CDKN2A, quantifying their penetrance and cancer risk contributions. He has evaluated universal germline genetic testing for all pancreatic cancer patients as a strategy to identify hereditary cancer syndromes and facilitate family member cascade testing and surveillance. His genetic epidemiology work informs the clinical genetics guidelines for hereditary pancreatic cancer risk assessment.
