Janet Bhatt studies NOTCH signaling in colorectal cancer and its crosstalk with the WNT pathway in intestinal stem cell biology. Her research has defined how NOTCH activity regulates intestinal crypt cell fate decisions and how dysregulation contributes to colorectal tumorigenesis. She has characterized the interplay between NOTCH and WNT signaling in controlling cancer stem cell pools within colorectal tumors. Her preclinical work has evaluated dual inhibition of NOTCH and WNT pathways as a therapeutic strategy in colorectal cancer.
