James Bhatt

James Bhatt is advancing ferroptosis-inducing strategies into clinical development and evaluating ferroptosis biomarkers in clinical cancer samples. His research has characterized ferroptosis sensitivity in clinical tumor specimens using transcriptomic and lipidomic profiling to identify patient populations most likely to benefit from ferroptosis-inducing therapies. He is leading early clinical trials of GPX4-targeting and xCT-inhibiting agents in patients with selected advanced solid tumors. His translational work bridges the extensive preclinical ferroptosis pharmacology with the clinical context needed for successful cancer drug development.
