Irene Ghobrial

Irene Ghobrial is the foremost advocate for early intervention in smoldering multiple myeloma and leads the Center for Prevention of Progression (CPOP) at Dana-Farber, dedicated to preventing cancer progression in high-risk precursor conditions. She led the ECOG E3A06 trial demonstrating that lenalidomide reduces the risk of progression to active myeloma in high-risk SMM, establishing a paradigm for early intervention.
