👥Biography 个人简介

Irene Ghobrial is the foremost advocate for early intervention in smoldering multiple myeloma and leads the Center for Prevention of Progression (CPOP) at Dana-Farber, dedicated to preventing cancer progression in high-risk precursor conditions. She led the ECOG E3A06 trial demonstrating that lenalidomide reduces the risk of progression to active myeloma in high-risk SMM, establishing a paradigm for early intervention. Her laboratory investigates the clonal evolution, immune microenvironment, and spatial biology of early myeloma. Her translational work bridges genomics, immunology, and clinical trial design in myeloma prevention.
