Ilaria Bhatt-Chen leads research on stromal depletion strategies to improve drug delivery and immunotherapy access in desmoplastic tumors at Dana-Farber. Her work on hyaluronan targeting using PEGPH20 in pancreatic cancer demonstrated that stromal depletion can increase intratumoral drug delivery. She has contributed to clinical trials investigating whether normalizing the stromal barrier improves responses to chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
