Patrick Hwu is a pioneer of tumor infiltrating lymphocyte therapy who helped develop TIL protocols at the National Cancer Institute and later at MD Anderson. He now leads Moffitt Cancer Center and oversees expansion of TIL clinical programs including in lung cancer. His foundational work enabled FDA approval of lifileucel in melanoma.
