Christian Hinrichs

Christian Hinrichs has pioneered TCR-T cell therapy targeting HPV E6 and E7 oncoproteins for HPV-associated cancers, demonstrating clinical responses in cervical cancer and other HPV-driven malignancies. His work at the NCI and now Rutgers has established that engineered TCR-T cells targeting viral oncoproteins can achieve durable responses in metastatic cervical cancer patients who have exhausted standard therapies. He has advanced the understanding of T cell persistence and trafficking in solid tumors through correlative analyses of TCR-T cell therapy trials.
