Heather Wakelee

Heather Wakelee is a thoracic oncologist and SWOG co-chair with expertise spanning limited-stage and extensive-stage SCLC. She has led cooperative group studies addressing prophylactic cranial irradiation in extensive-stage SCLC, consolidation immunotherapy, and chemoradiation optimization in limited-stage disease. Her research investigates molecular predictors of recurrence and treatment response in SCLC. She has contributed to national and international SCLC treatment guidelines and mentored a generation of thoracic oncology trainees.
