👥Biography 个人简介

Heather Christofk at UCLA has made important contributions to cancer metabolism research including work on PKM2 and metabolic enzyme regulation that preceded her current focus on understanding how cancer cells reprogram glutamine metabolism. Her laboratory has contributed to understanding glutamine anaplerosis and reductive carboxylation in cancer cells under different nutrient conditions. She has collaborated on studies evaluating glutaminase inhibitor CB-839 (telaglenastat) in clinical trials. Her research on the relationship between metabolic adaptation and epigenetic regulation has been an emerging area of interest linking metabolism to gene expression.
