👥Biography 个人简介

Harold Johns built the world's first cobalt-60 teletherapy unit in Saskatoon in 1951, which delivered megavoltage radiation capable of treating deep tumors without excessive skin reactions, replacing painful orthovoltage equipment. He also authored The Physics of Radiology, the definitive medical physics textbook. His engineering and physics contributions transformed radiotherapy by enabling effective treatment of deep-seated tumors and establishing the medical physics profession.
