👥Biography 个人简介

Harold Dvorak at Harvard independently discovered VEGF (which he originally called Vascular Permeability Factor/VPF) and characterized its central role in tumor angiogenesis and vascular permeability. His foundational work establishing that tumors produce VPF/VEGF to stimulate their blood supply and the concept that tumors are 'wounds that do not heal' have been highly influential in cancer biology and directly contributed to the development of anti-VEGF cancer therapy.
