👥Biography 个人简介

Hans-Guido Wendel has made key contributions to understanding how the mTOR/4E-BP1/eIF4E translational control axis promotes lymphomagenesis and resistance to cancer therapy, demonstrating that eIF4E phosphorylation is required for MYC-driven tumorigenesis. His laboratory showed that loss of 4E-BP1 regulation of eIF4E cooperates with MYC to drive aggressive lymphoma through selective translation of anti-apoptotic and pro-survival mRNAs. He has identified translational vulnerabilities in MYC-driven cancers. His work connects translational control with oncogenic transcription factor biology.
