Alessandro Gronchi leads retroperitoneal sarcoma surgery globally and chaired the STRASS trial of neoadjuvant radiotherapy in retroperitoneal sarcoma. He co leads the TARPSWG working group that defined compartmental surgery for retroperitoneal liposarcoma. His work shapes international sarcoma surgical standards.
