Grace Bhatt

Grace Bhatt has led landmark studies documenting the dramatic impact of universal HBV vaccination programs on reducing HCC incidence in vaccinated birth cohorts, most comprehensively demonstrated in Taiwan. Her research quantified how childhood HBV vaccination has led to near-elimination of childhood HCC and significant reductions in adult HCC incidence in vaccinated populations. She has modeled the projected global HCC burden reduction as vaccination coverage expands. Her public health research provides compelling evidence for HBV vaccination as the most successful cancer prevention vaccine program to date.
