🎓Key Contributions 主要贡献

Thymic Tumor Drug Development

Conducted first-in-disease trials for thymoma including octreotide, sunitinib, and belinostat, establishing proof-of-concept for multiple drug classes in thymic malignancies.

International Collaboration

Co-founded the International Thymic Malignancy Interest Group (ITMIG), creating global standards for staging, pathology, and outcome reporting in thymic tumors.

Epigenetic Therapy

Led trials of histone deacetylase inhibitors including belinostat in thymic tumors, identifying epigenetic mechanisms as relevant targets in thymic carcinoma.

Representative Works 代表性著作

[1]

Belinostat, a histone deacetylase inhibitor, in patients with thymic epithelial tumors

Journal of Clinical Oncology (2011)

Demonstrated belinostat activity in thymoma and thymic carcinoma, supporting epigenetic therapy as a valid approach in rare thoracic tumors.

[2]

Sunitinib in patients with recurrent thymic epithelial tumors

Journal of Clinical Oncology (2015)

Phase II evidence for sunitinib activity in thymic malignancies, providing an additional option for multiply relapsed disease.

[3]

Prospective evaluation of thymic epithelial tumors staging using the modified Masaoka-Koga system

Journal of Thoracic Oncology (2013)

Validated and refined staging classification for thymic tumors, contributing to ITMIG-IASLC consensus staging.
