Giuseppe Giaccone

Giuseppe Giaccone is one of the world's foremost authorities on thymic malignancies and was instrumental in developing standard chemotherapy regimens (ADOC, CAP) for thymoma and defining clinical trial frameworks for these rare tumors. His career at NCI and subsequently Weill Cornell involved pioneering work on thymoma biology, targeted therapy trials, and the rational use of combination chemotherapy. He has published the seminal clinical outcome series in thymic tumors.
