Armando Giuliano pioneered sentinel lymph node biopsy for breast cancer and led the ACOSOG Z0011 trial that made completion axillary dissection unnecessary in selected patients. His work dramatically reduced morbidity from breast cancer surgery. He practices at Cedars-Sinai.
