Edward Giovannucci has conducted some of the most influential meta-analyses and prospective cohort studies examining the relationship between circulating 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels and cancer risk. His research at Harvard has provided strong observational evidence linking higher vitamin D status to reduced colorectal cancer risk while showing more nuanced relationships with other cancer types.
