Ophira Ginsburg

Ophira Ginsburg has been a leader in advancing cancer control for women in low- and middle-income countries, developing resource-stratified guidelines for breast cancer early detection and treatment that are implementable in settings with limited diagnostic and therapeutic infrastructure. Her research at the National Cancer Institute has characterized the barriers to cancer early detection in LMICs and has designed community-based intervention programs that improve cancer awareness and diagnostic access. Her work has been instrumental in defining the global cancer research agenda to address the needs of underserved populations.
