Saar Gill

Saar Gill is a leading researcher in allogeneic cell therapy approaches at the University of Pennsylvania, developing off-the-shelf CAR-T and CAR-NK cell products that can be manufactured from healthy donors and administered without HLA matching. His work on CRISPR-based gene editing to eliminate T cell receptor expression and HLA molecules from donor T cells has been pivotal in preventing graft-versus-host disease in allogeneic CAR-T products. He is advancing universal CAR-T platforms targeting myeloid malignancies where autologous approaches face manufacturing challenges.
