Charlotte Giesen

Charlotte Giesen co-developed the imaging mass cytometry technology that combines laser ablation with mass spectrometry detection of metal-tagged antibodies to achieve highly multiplexed spatial protein profiling. Her work on optimizing metal-labeled antibody panels and tissue imaging workflows has been essential for the practical implementation of IMC in cancer research laboratories. Her contributions to standardizing spatial proteomics workflows have enabled reproducible multi-center studies of tumor architecture.
