👥Biography 个人简介

Georg Winter developed dBET1, the first highly effective BET bromodomain protein degrader, demonstrating that PROTAC-mediated degradation of BRD4 produces superior anti-cancer effects compared to BET bromodomain inhibitors by eliminating both enzymatic and scaffolding functions. His chemical biology approaches have enabled systematic screening for new molecular glue degraders and neo-substrate targets of cereblon. He has pioneered chemogenomic strategies to identify resistance mechanisms to targeted protein degradation. His work has expanded the degrader toolkit beyond traditional drug targets and established degradation-based phenotypic screening platforms.
