Giulio Genovese co-discovered clonal hematopoiesis from population-scale exome sequencing and developed methods for detecting mosaic chromosomal alterations. His computational work underpins much of the CHIP detection field. He continues to develop algorithms for somatic mosaicism in large cohorts.
