Gene Yeo at UC San Diego is a leader in RNA biology and computational RNA oncology. His development of eCLIP (enhanced CLIP-seq) technology for mapping RNA-protein interactions transcriptome-wide and his systematic characterization of RNA binding protein binding patterns in cancer have revealed how RNA processing dysregulation contributes to oncogenesis. His work identifies RNA regulatory events as therapeutic vulnerabilities.
