Jill Gallaher

Jill Gallaher develops spatial agent-based computational models of tumor evolution under adaptive therapy, demonstrating that the spatial structure of tumors critically influences the effectiveness of competition-mediated resistance suppression and identifying optimal dosing schedules that maximize competitive suppression of resistant clones. Her research at Moffitt Cancer Center has shown that spatial modeling captures dynamics missed by non-spatial models and that tumor geometry and cell mixing patterns determine whether adaptive therapy can achieve durable disease control. Her computational work provides the quantitative foundation for designing patient-specific adaptive therapy protocols.
