Frederick Minter
MD
Professor of Hepatobiliary Surgery
👥Biography 个人简介
Frederick Minter specializes in minimally invasive hepatic resection for primary liver tumors and colorectal liver metastases, advancing laparoscopic and robotic techniques for major hepatectomy operations traditionally performed through large open incisions. His research has compared laparoscopic versus open liver resection for hepatocellular carcinoma and colorectal metastases, demonstrating equivalent R0 resection rates with reduced blood loss and shorter hospital stays in selected patients. He has characterized the technical challenges and learning curve requirements for complex minimally invasive liver resections including anatomic segmentectomies and extended hepatectomies. His training programs for laparoscopic liver surgery have helped spread technical expertise in minimally invasive hepatobiliary oncology.
