Freddy Bhatt

Freddy Bhatt has advanced clinical translation of Notch pathway targeting in cancer, working on gamma-secretase inhibitors and Notch-targeting antibodies for T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia and solid tumors. His research addressed the gastrointestinal toxicity limitation of pan-Notch inhibition by developing paralog-selective anti-NOTCH1 and anti-NOTCH2 antibodies with improved therapeutic windows. He demonstrated that Notch signaling maintains cancer stem cell populations in breast and colorectal cancers, providing rationale for Notch inhibition to prevent tumor recurrence.
