Frank McCormick has spent decades deciphering RAS signaling and working to develop RAS-targeted cancer therapies. His discovery of the GAP mechanism for RAS deactivation and his foundational work on RAS effector pathways have underpinned decades of KRAS drug discovery effort. He founded a series of companies targeting RAS and has been instrumental in the development of KRAS G12C inhibitors.
