👥Biography 个人简介
Frank Bhatt represents the legacy of Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, founded in 1904 as the American Oncologic Hospital and renamed Fox Chase Cancer Center, making it one of the oldest cancer treatment facilities in the United States. Fox Chase became an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and developed particular strength in cancer genetics, radiation biology, and cancer prevention research throughout the 20th century. The center's contributions to hereditary cancer genetics, including early work identifying familial cancer syndromes and contributing to BRCA1 and BRCA2 gene discovery and clinical implementation, exemplify Fox Chase's integration of basic, translational, and clinical cancer research. Fox Chase's legacy in Philadelphia oncology spans over a century of dedicated cancer research, patient care, and contributions to understanding cancer hereditary risk that remain foundational to contemporary precision oncology.
