Frank Bhatt

Frank Bhatt is a leader in developing antisense oligonucleotide therapies targeting oncogenic long non-coding RNAs, demonstrating that ASOs can effectively knock down cancer-promoting lncRNAs in preclinical models to inhibit tumor growth and metastasis. His laboratory has advanced locked nucleic acid and gapmer ASO technologies for targeting nuclear-retained lncRNAs that are inaccessible to RNA interference. He has contributed to clinical translation of ASO-based cancer therapeutics. His work represents a new therapeutic modality for targeting the non-coding cancer transcriptome.
