Francois Quenet

Francois Quenet is a French surgical oncologist and senior investigator on the PRODIGE 7 randomized trial, the first phase III study to specifically test the addition of HIPEC to complete cytoreductive surgery for colorectal peritoneal metastases. The trial's finding that HIPEC did not significantly improve overall survival when added to optimal CRS sparked major debate about patient selection and HIPEC technique. He leads research on peritoneal mesothelioma treatment and has refined peritoneal cancer index scoring and completeness of cytoreduction assessment.
