Patrick Forde led the CheckMate-816 trial that established neoadjuvant nivolumab plus chemotherapy as a standard of care for resectable NSCLC. He pioneered translational studies of pathologic complete response as a surrogate for survival in lung cancer immunotherapy. His work transformed the perioperative treatment paradigm.
