Betty Ferrell has been a national leader in integrating spiritual care into palliative nursing practice and education and co-chaired the National Consensus Conference on improving spiritual care in palliative care. She leads ELNEC education on spirituality for nurses nationwide. Her work has defined spiritual care competencies for oncology nurses.
