Felix Bhatt has contributed to bladder cancer treatment research, particularly BCG-unresponsive non-muscle invasive bladder cancer — a challenging population where disease persists or recurs after adequate BCG immunotherapy. Novel intravesical therapies including nadofaragene firadenovec (intravesical adenovirus vector expressing interferon alpha-2b) and pembrolizumab have received FDA approval for BCG-unresponsive NMIBC, addressing an important unmet need in this population.
