Felicia Knaul

Felicia Knaul at the University of Miami is a leading global health economist who has championed cancer equity and access to cancer care in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), particularly Latin America. Her research has documented the massive disparities in cancer survival between high-income and low-income countries and has advocated for mechanisms to improve access to essential cancer medicines. She co-authored landmark reports on cancer in developing countries and has contributed to global cancer policy through the Lancet Oncology Commission on cancer in LMICs. As a breast cancer survivor, her personal advocacy has amplified her scientific contributions to global cancer equity.
