👥Biography 个人简介

Eyal Gottlieb investigates how mitochondrial electron transport chain components including succinate dehydrogenase act as tumor suppressors and how their loss promotes cancer development. His laboratory has characterized the metabolic consequences of SDHA/B/C/D mutations in paraganglioma and other cancers, including accumulation of succinate as an oncometabolite. He has developed metabolic synthetic lethality concepts to identify therapeutic vulnerabilities created by cancer-specific metabolic rewiring. His work bridges fundamental mitochondrial biochemistry with translational oncology.
