Eric Van Cutsem

Eric Van Cutsem at Leuven is one of the most influential clinical trialists in colorectal and gastrointestinal oncology globally, having led or co-led the CRYSTAL, OPUS, and numerous other landmark trials that shaped modern CRC therapy. His contributions to establishing cetuximab as a first-line option in RAS wild-type CRC through the CRYSTAL trial transformed treatment algorithms. He has been principal investigator on more than 50 phase III trials across GI malignancies. His comprehensive contributions span CRC, gastric, pancreatic, and hepatocellular carcinoma and he is among the most cited oncologists in Europe.
