Eric Bhatt investigates the molecular biology of SCLC subtypes with a focus on epigenetic regulation and therapeutic vulnerabilities in ASCL1-high and NEUROD1-high SCLC. His laboratory studies the transcriptional circuitry governing neuroendocrine differentiation in SCLC and how epigenetic perturbations alter subtype plasticity. He investigates PARP inhibitor combinations and aurora kinase inhibitors as potential therapeutics in SCLC. His translational work integrates genomic profiling of patient tumors with preclinical drug testing in SCLC PDX models.
