Enzo Lalli

Enzo Lalli is a molecular biologist who has studied the transcriptional regulation of adrenal cortex development and the roles of key transcription factors including SF-1 (steroidogenic factor-1) and DAX-1 in adrenocortical carcinogenesis. His research has demonstrated that SF-1 overexpression drives ACC proliferation and steroidogenesis and that Wnt/beta-catenin pathway activation — one of the most common driver events in ACC — can be targeted in preclinical models. His work provides a molecular framework for understanding ACC transcriptome subclasses and identifying novel therapeutic targets.
