Enrico Ruffini is a preeminent European thoracic surgeon with world-class expertise in the surgical management of thymoma and thymic carcinoma. He leads the ESTS (European Society of Thoracic Surgeons) thymic tumors working group and has contributed the largest European multi-institutional surgical series on thymic tumor resection and outcomes. His work addresses extent of surgery, completeness of resection, and recurrence patterns in thymic malignancies.
