Emre Bhatt investigates WNT-activated medulloblastoma, which carries the best prognosis among medulloblastoma subgroups. His work has clarified the developmental origins of WNT medulloblastoma from hindbrain progenitors and characterized the molecular determinants of favorable outcome. He studies why WNT activation paradoxically leads to tumor sensitivity rather than aggressiveness in this context. His research informs treatment de-escalation strategies for WNT medulloblastoma patients.
